UNPAID TOLL PROCEDURE

Toll evasion is an offence.  The unpaid toll process, outlined below, has been developed to recover the cost of unpaid tolls and associated charges. 

Please be aware, that due to privacy legislation in each state, there is a different process for Queensland registered vehicles and Interstate registered vehicles.

QUEENSLAND REGISTERED VEHICLES

CLEM7

UNPAID TOLL INVOICE (CLEM7) 

An Unpaid Toll Invoice (UTI) is the first notification a motorist will receive if a toll has not been received for travel on the CLEM7. This Notice also includes an administrative fee (please click here to see our full schedule of fees and charges).

When you receive this notification, please ensure payment is made promptly by using one of the payment options on the rear side of the notification or assign the amount to your account with FLOW or any other valid account with an Australian tolling provider.

If you were not the driver of the vehicle at the time of the trip, please complete a Statutory Declaration outlining the details.

DEMAND NOTICE OR DEBT COLLECTION

A Demand Notice will be issued for each trip if you do not pay the Amount Due on your Unpaid Toll Invoice. Each Demand Notice will include additional fees and charges.

If a Demand Notice is not paid a PENALTY INFRINGEMENT NOTICE may be issued which includes a penalty in excess of $140.00 for EACH TRIP.

MOTORISTS WHO TRAVEL REGULARLY ON THE CLEM7 AND DO NOT PAY TOLL NOTICES ISSUED MAY BE REFERRED TO A DEBT COLLECTION AGENCY. This will include additional charges to cover the cost of recovering the toll, the unpaid toll notice charges and the cost of debt collection and may impact your credit rating. To avoid this process, please pay your toll notices promptly and avoid future notices by establishing an account to help manage your travel.

THE GO BETWEEN BRIDGE

UNPAID TOLL ADVICE

An Unpaid Toll Advice (UTA) is the first notification a motorist will receive if a toll has not been received for travel on the Go Between Bridge. This Notice also includes an administrative fee (please click here to see our full schedule of fees and charges).

When you receive this notification, please ensure payment is made promptly by using one of the payment options on the rear side of the notification or assign the amount to your account with FLOW or any other valid account with an Australian tolling provider.

If you were not the driver of the vehicle at the time of the trip, please complete a Statutory Declaration outlining the details.

The Unpaid Toll Advice is a purple coloured letter for all trips undertaken during the billing period, is administered by FLOW Tolling on behalf of Brisbane City Council for the Go Between Bridge and is delivered within 10 days of using the toll road.

UNPAID TOLL REMINDER (Go Between Bridge only)

An Unpaid Toll Reminder (UTR) will be issued for travel on the Go Between Bridge, if you fail to pay the Unpaid Toll Advice.  Additional fees and charges will apply. When you receive this notification, please ensure payment is made promptly by using one of the payment options on the rear side of the notification.

If you were not the driver of the vehicle at the time of the trip, please complete a Statutory Declaration outlining the details.

The Unpaid Toll Reminder is an orange coloured letter for all trips undertaken during the billing period, is administered by FLOW Tolling on behalf of Brisbane City Council for the Go Between Bridge and is delivered about three weeks after the Unpaid Toll Advice.

THIS NOTICE DOES NOT APPLY FOR TRAVEL ON THE CLEM7.

DEMAND NOTICE

A Demand Notice will be issued if you do not pay the Unpaid Toll Invoice (CLEM7) or the Unpaid Toll Advice Reminder (Go Between Bridge). This will include additional fees and charges on top of previous notices.

If the Demand Notice is not paid a PENALTY INFRINGEMENT NOTICE will be issued which includes a $140 penalty.

INTERSTATE REGISTERED VEHICLES

Interstate registered vehicles that fail to pay their toll will receive an Interstate Demand Notice. This notice will need to be paid following the payment options on the notice. 

A Penalty Infringement Notice is issued if you fail to comply with an Interstate Demand Notice.  Fines and the possibility of loss of points on your licence may be enforced if payment is not made.
